Raffaele Mautone
CEO & Founder
Raffaele Mautone is Founder and CEO of Detroit-based AaDya Security. Raffaele's strategic thinking and effective leadership have been instrumental and paramount in his career as an IT, sales and operations professional. His extensive experience in the IT and security industry serves as the platform of AaDya. Raffaele's consistent record of leading teams through successful acquisitions; strategic planning and implementation and deploying large, multi-tiered complex programs has served companies such as Duo, FireEye, McAfee and Dell. He also has experience in implementing marketing and sales strategies, positioning companies for future growth, and deploying applications and business process improvements to assist with bookings, leads and new go-to-market programs. Raffaele holds a BS from Eastern Michigan University. He is a passionate supporter of Detroit's startup scene and is an advisor for Fluxo and Toodolie.
Ed Maurer
Director of Services
Ed is an experienced Senior Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the computer and network security industry. He thrives on leading fast-paced IT infrastructure teams and has vast experience in Operations Management, Project Management, IT Help Desk Support and is a certified Scrum Master.
Melissa Smith
Senior Director, Marketing
Melissa is a marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in various roles focused on strategy, corporate communications, brand development, project management, direct marketing, sales support, copywriting, graphic design/art direction, event management and social and digital media. She is passionate about good design and its impact on every aspect of an organization. Melissa has been immersed in the technology/manufacturing space since 1999, holding senior-level marketing roles with both the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and Detroit-based technology accelerator, NextEnergy. She was also instrumental in the launch of Droste Group, a Michigan-based international executive coaching and consulting firm, where she served as vice president of marketing and sales for two years. Melissa holds a BA from Eastern Michigan University in Literature/Journalism and is a self-taught graphic design professional who has executed numerous projects and campaigns for clients across many different industries. An active volunteer, she leverages both her design, marketing and communications skills to support various non-profit programs in the community.
Chad Priest
VP of Engineering
Chad has worked exclusively in the digital space his entire career. Passionate about all aspects of digital-strategy, ideation and development—he has generated some of the most innovative digital solutions (websites, viral, e-commerce, word-of-mouth and buzz marketing campaigns) for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Chad was a pioneer in the development of QR codes and co-invented a patented process for analyzing a website’s social strengths and weaknesses. He was also featured on CNN and multiple media outlets during the fuel crisis after he developed fuelgo.com, a web service enabling mobile users to text their zip code to receive the closest location for lowest-priced gas.
